Programme principles Build Africa works with young people to understand the problems they face. We are led by them in the design, planning, implementation and evaluation of all projects.
We work within local development plans and in collaboration with government and community leaders to simultaneously address the many key issues affecting young people’s development.
Our projects are designed to have a lasting impact on the lives of disadvantaged young people and we ensure that they do not create a dynamic for dependence, vulnerability or conflict.
We work at local, national and international levels with communities, government bodies and other organisations to achieve the greatest impact in the fight against youth poverty.
We ensure our work remains transparent and accountable to our beneficiaries and supporters, whilst maximising efficiency and minimising costs.
Working with partners Build Africa works through local organisations in Africa who implement projects developed in consultation with us. By working with partners in this way, we are able to invest directly in national civil society, maximising local knowledge and helping local organisations fight poverty in the most effective way.
